This Privacy Policy is provided by Energy Meter Data ("we," "us," or "our") and applies specifically to the Solar Plant Pro Android application (Google Play package com.solarplantpro.mobile), distributed on Google Play, and the related Energy Meter Data / Solar Plant Pro cloud portal at https://solar.energymeterdata.com (together, the "Service"). Energy Meter Data is the developer named in the app's Google Play listing and is the data controller responsible for this app.

The Service is a multi-tenant business platform for monitoring solar power plants, devices, energy, alerts, and related operations. Accounts are provisioned by platform or company administrators — there is no open public self-signup for plant data access.

• Account information: name, email address, role/permissions, and company (tenant) association provided by your administrator.
• Authentication data: login credentials (passwords are stored hashed; we do not store plaintext passwords), and secure session tokens (JWT / refresh tokens) on device and server.
• Plant and operational data: plant metadata, device configuration, telemetry/readings, energy metrics, alerts, diagrams, and similar monitoring data that your organization sends to or views in the Service.
• App and device information: device model/OS version (when needed for support or push delivery), app version, and push notification tokens if you enable notifications.
• Usage and logs: technical logs (for example API errors, timestamps, and correlation identifiers) used to secure and operate the Service. We do not sell personal data.

• Authenticate users and enforce role-based access and multi-tenant isolation.
• Provide solar plant monitoring, analytics, alerts, Sunny AI features (when enabled), and billing features for entitled accounts.
• Send transactional emails (for example password reset) and optional push notifications.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations applicable to the Service.

Depending on your location, we process personal data based on: performance of a contract with your organization, legitimate interests in securing and operating the Service, and/or consent where required (for example certain device permissions).

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

• Within your organization: administrators and authorized users of your company/tenant may access plant and user data according to permissions.
• Service providers: hosting, database, email delivery, push notification (e.g. Firebase), and payment processors (e.g. Razorpay) that process data on our instructions.
• Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

We do not sell personal information to third parties for advertising.

We retain account and operational data for as long as your organization uses the Service and as needed for security, billing, and legal retention. Soft-deleted records may remain in backups for a limited period. You may request deletion through your company administrator or by contacting us (subject to legal and contractual limits).

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS/TLS, hashed passwords, token-based authentication, tenant isolation, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your login credentials and notify your administrator of suspected unauthorized access.

The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because accounts are organization-managed, please start with your company administrator. You may also contact us at the email below.

The Service may be hosted and processed in regions where our infrastructure providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Solar Plant Pro may request permissions such as Internet access (required) and notification permission (optional) to deliver alerts. We do not require access to your contacts, SMS, or precise location for core monitoring features.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will be revised when changes are published. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
